Nepal Flights

Several airlines have direct and non-stop flights from Europe and Asia to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, and the only international airport in Nepal. Flight schedule may change without prior notice, every guest of Everest Nepal tours are requested to consult with your travel agents or nearest airline offices. If you are flying to Kathmandu from Europe best connecting are Qatar Airways via Doha, Gulf Air via Abudabi, Martin Air via Netherlands and Austrian Air via Vienna. Similarly if you are flying from Australia it is recommend to use Qantas to Bangkok and connect with Thai Airways Daily flight BKK-KTM vice versa or connect with Nepal Airlines which flies 3 days a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday BKK-KTM or vice versa.

If you are flying from USA it is recommended to fly to Hong Kong by North West or Cathy Pacific and connect with Nepal Airlines to Kathmandu.

One can enter Nepal by land from India. The most common entry points are Kakarbhitta (eastern Nepal), Birgunj and Bhairahawa (South Central Nepal).

Domestic Flight in Nepal

Nepal's domestic network includes some of the most remote and spectacular airstrips in the world. Many are on mountain sides surrounded by high peaks. Therefore, if there are clouds or high winds, the pilot cannot land. Domestic service in Nepal is famous for delayed or cancelled due weather or techinical problem however since deregulation of the domestic airline business there are number of private companies operating flights whose provide better service. Domestic Airlines companies connect different destinations such as Pokhara, Bhairawa, Biratnager, Nepaljung in the soft sector and Lukla, Jomsom, Phaplu, Taplejung etc. for mountain region. Mountain Flight

One of the best ways to get close to the Himalaya, and to Everest in particular, is to take a mountain flight. Lasting an hour they offer incredible close-up views of the awesome peaks. Flights from Kathmandu reveal the eastern Himalaya. Flights from Pokhara take you on a bird's eye view of the western Himalaya. In just a short time, you will be experiencing the Himalayas at such close range it will seem as though you could reach out and touch them. There before your eyes is the world's tallest mountain, Everest at 8848m (29,028ft). Among spectacular panoramic views of the 850 mountains over 6000 meters (19,680ft), you will see Kanchenjunga (8586m/ 28,162ft), Makalu (8463m/ 27,766ft), Lothse (8400m/ 27,940ft) and Manaslu (8165m/ 26,781ft). This is a sure way to touch any visitor's heart and to give great pleasure.
