Extermly Popular ||Gosainkunda Trekking
Short Gosainkunda trek can be organized from near the Kathmandu valley. Also, we can take a drive to Gosainkunda which will take about 8 hours from Kathmandu. This trekking is a perfect mixture of cultural heritage and nature. Trek also touches the Langtang region through Dhunche. Langtang is also one of the popular trekking destinations in Nepal. It’s probably the only trek that leads trekkers more than 4000 m high within a short period. This trek offers a magnificent view of alpine valleys, high Himalayas and typical cultural heritage.
Lake is one of the most religious and famous places of pilgrimage situated at 4,380m above sea level. Every year in Janai Purnima thousands of Hindu pilgrims came here for a holy bath, believe that sins are a relief after taking a bath in this sacred lake. During this trek, we can get the majestic view of the highest mountain around the lake. Gosainkunda trek is more preferable for those trekkers who want short and less expensive trek.
Short Gosainkunda trek starts a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche and trek to Sing Gompa. We continue our trek to the sacred lake, Gosainkunda and after exploring around we head back to Dhunche via Sing-Gompa. Then we will drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1764m) 7-8hrs
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche. We drive through foothills of Langtang region, the hill station of Kakani with a spectacular view of the green valleys, Himalayas and dense forest. This route also offers some majestic view of Trishuli valleys, crops fields, and mountains. After we reach Dhunche, we will witness the magnificent view of the sunset. Overnight in Dhunche.
Day 02: Trek from Dhunche to Sing Gompa (3580m) 5-6hrs
Resume our trek from Dhunche to reach Sing Gompa. The trail goes downhill to cross the river and gently descend through the forest and gradually ascend to Deurali. Deurali is a small settlement of the Tamang community. After taking some rest in Deurali, we will ascend through the forest toward Chandan Bari called Sing Gompa. Here you can visit a cheese factory and get to see the spectacular view of the mountain. Overnight in Sing Gompa.
Day 03: Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4380m) 5-6hrs
The trail gradually goes uphill via Lauribinayak with the view of Lirung, Huinchuli, Manaslu region and many others. The amazing scenery of the mountains and peaks are the main highlight of this place. After you reach Gosainkunda, you can explore the amazing Gosainkunda lake and the beauty of this place. Overnight in Gosainkunda.
Day 04: Trek from Gosainkunda to (Chandan Bari) Sing Gompa via Lauribinayak (4380m) 5-6hrs
In Chandan Bari, you can visit some beautiful lakes such as Bhairav Kunda and Saraswati Kunda. After breakfast, trek downhill via Lauribinayak through the forest of rhododendron and pine with the view of the giant Himalayas. Overnight in Sing Gompa.
Day 05: Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche (1764m) 5-6hrs
The early trail starts descending via rhododendron and pine forest to reach Deurali. After lunch, the trail descends through dense forest and cross the river. The final ascend will lead us to Dhunche and you can explore the culture and lifestyle of the Tamang community. Overnight in Dhunche.
Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu (6hrs)
Early morning drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu will take about 7 hours. This scenic drive offers some amazing foothills, terraced fields, and small highway town. We drive through Kakani to see the amazing view of the sunset and then back to the hotel. Yarse trek will arrange a farewell dinner and with your feedback about our services. Overnight in Kathmandu.
