The exciting news for all International Travelers traveling to Nepal. For all travelers, Nepal Travel Easy with No Compulsory Covid-19 Vaccination. Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MOCTCA) sent a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). It has directed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to adjust the regulations accordingly. The Ministry's decision was prompted by the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC), which held a meeting on May 14.

As a result, foreign visitors need not carry a vaccination QR code. Further, they no longer need to present a PCR negative report when traveling to Nepal. This implementation aims to facilitate and simplify travel for visitors. On May 5, 2023, World Health Organization (WHO) officially removed the global health emergency status of COVID-19. The WHO announcement influenced the decision of the Nepalese government.

However, travelers departing to other countries from Nepal are likely to have specific document requirements. We recommend you stay well-informed and aware of the necessary procedures based on the destination to ensure a comfortable journey.

Similarly, traveling to Bhutan has become more convenient for global travelers. Travelers are no longer required to present a PCR negative report and a vaccination QR code.
