Cultural & Scenic Hike around Kathmandu Valley
Amazing Lakuribhanjyang Hiking is a great escapade from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city for a day to enjoy scenic views amidst nature. This Cultural and Scenic Hike is a day hike of 5-6 hours to rural areas of Kathmandu Valley. A short drive to Thimi town roadside after 40 minutes of good drive, from here heading southward into the farming and agriculture area of Kathmandu valley visiting interesting rural farm villages of Tara Khakal and the Hindu temple of Ananta Lingeswor and then walking slowly with pleasant views of surrounding landscapes and villages reaching a small farm village of Antaling and to the Ganeshman memorial park (one of the late and chief leader and politician of Nepali Congress).
After an interesting time here walking towards another farm village leading to Lakuribhanjyang, walking uphill most of the way passing interesting rural farm villages and terraces with grand views of surrounding landscapes and snow-capped mountains toward the north, walking leads through a patch of forest and then reaching at Lakuribhanjyang with views of Kathmandu valley with snow-capped mountains towards the north.

From this wonderful spot, the walk leads towards more remote areas of the far southeast of the valley rim. Walking into a lovely forest of pines, oaks, and some rhododendron trees passing through small farm villages and terraces reaching Ranikot. A farm village with fabulous views of surrounding landscapes and distance snow-capped peaks, from here a gentle climb to Ghyampe danda. It is probably the highest spot of this hike at about 1,640 meters with a small temple dedicated to a Hindu saint and sadhu called Pilot Baba Ashram.
A peaceful area in the forest surrounding this nice and great hike of the day completed at the Suryabinayak temple area. Next, the walk leads downhill through a serene forest overlooking Bhaktapur city towards the north. Slowly ending this trip in lovely surroundings at the south of Bhaktapur in Suryabinayak, a temple of Lord Ganesh and other main gods and goddesses. After finishing the long day of Lakuribhanjyang hiking at Suryabinayak, drive back to Kathmandu on the good road for 45 minutes or an hour.

– Overland from Delhi, Sikkim, and Darjeeling from India
– To enter from China catch a flight or train to Lhasa (Tibet) and then drive/fly to Kathmandu.
All valid Passports are required with a proper visa for you to enter Nepal. Visa can be obtained from your countries through Nepal Embassy and Consulate, or one can get a permit on arrival at any port of entry at the border or Kathmandu international airport. Minimum visa of a week and a maximum of 1 month can be obtained from here. If you urge to elongate the stay, your visa extension can be done for an extra cost per day or week basis.
