Our winter trip to Kathmandu in January lasted three days and turned out to be very enjoyable. Introduced by our Bhutan tour company, Everest Vacation already had strong recommendation and now we pass the trust forward without hesitation.
Walking through Kathmandu works only if you’ve got wheels plus, someone who knows the turns. Rajan was a guide who didn’t simply list facts about Kathmandu/Nepal, he was also easy to follow and full of surprises. The slow and comfortable pace helped us explore the city without feeling rushed. Looking back, we think having him in Pokhara would have been better too. Though Pokhara’s compact size makes moving around simpler, having someone show us around could’ve helped make the most of our hours. Our driver also stood out- calm, careful and very safe. While such roles tend to get overlooked, his presence made us feel secure throughout the tour. Our journey was good, knowing we were under good care.
