Wildlife wise looking, Langtang is home to some of the rarest animals and birds of Asia. Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Black Bear, Himalayan Thar, Naur sheep, etc. are some of the protected species here. In the summer seasons, one can sight various species of migratory birds from Siberia and Mongolia regions heading here. About Kyanjin Gompa

The Langtang valley is most famous for its natural location, culture and Buddhist monuments. As the Tamangs following Buddhism are abundant in these areas, Langtang is home to some of the majestic monasteries of Nepal. The KyanjinGompa (Monastery) lying in the heart of the valley is one of the oldest gompas in the region. It is a building of simple Tibetan inspired architecture and is home to beautiful murals and Thanga paintings.
